An Unforgettable Luxury Wedding at The Joule Hotel

Luxe “Big City” Wedding at The Joule, Dallas 

Flickering candles. Drippy all-white florals. Rich velvet draping, mirrored bar and stage facades, custom branded everything, and a dance floor that filled quickly and stayed that way all night long. The venue for this luxury wedding in downtown Dallas was The Joule, but the ballroom’s electric atmosphere reflected a New York state of mind. My kind of night! 

In keeping with that big city energy, Rachel + Nathan’s festivities kicked off with a chic rehearsal dinner at Carbone Dallas. Located in the Design District, the Dallas outpost of this iconic Italian restaurant is the embodiment of “more is more”—think ultra-attentive service in a space that merges palazzo-inspired opulence with mid-century design perspective. Good food, good wine, good company. Stepping through the doors feels like taking a visual vacation, and the excitement for R+N and everything to come was palpable. No surprise that these images are some of my favorites from the entire weekend of Dallas wedding events!

From start to finish, both bride and groom were intent on creating an exceptional guest experience for their people…and their venue delivered. Boasting on-site accommodations and walkable proximity to all the best things to do in Dallas—world-class restaurants, the Dallas Museum of Art, American Airlines Center, and the Neiman Marcus flagship are all within a mile radius—the Joule elevates the Dallas ballroom wedding to an entirely new level, while feeling like a destination in and of itself.

Rachel’s perfectly-synchronized first steps through the elevator and down the aisle to Taylor Swift’s “You Are In Love.” The contrast of guests tossing classic rose petals against the neon backdrop of the Dallas skyline as the couple made their exit. The iconic moments at this event were as pervasive as the love in the room, and I’m forever grateful for the opportunity to have captured each one.
