When an iconic rooftop garden meets a moody fall palette, we are introduced to this tasteful, autumnal wedding inspiration in New York City. 620 Loft and Garden serves some of the best views in Manhattan and is the perfect backdrop for a romantic wedding in the city. This day was curated by planner and designer, Britt Jones, and captured by Stephanie Michelle Photography.
The jumping off point for designing this day started at thinking about the regality of St. Patrick’s Cathedral which was crafted in the 1800’s and inspired by European architecture. The goal was to blend modern day New York with an old world architectural style but also bring in some nods to the season. Rather than choosing blatant fall colors like red, orange, and yellow, we went for a more intentional approach bringing in plum, mauves, and soft pinks. Both the ceremony and reception gowns worn were Viktor and Rolf .
The Dresses
The ceremony gown had a more sleek satin look to it, but had the most wow-factor moment with the train and bow back. Additionally, the reception gown was a tiered tulle dress that had the most beautiful high neckline. This dress was so beautifully crafted and it actually reminded the vendor team of a chandelier. Little do you know, there are actually hand drawn chandeliers on the invite suite to tie the whole look together.
A Backdrop of Majesty: NYC Rooftop Wedding
In 2023, NYC Rooftop weddings have become such a huge trend for those seeking incredible backdrops for their vow exchange. The timeless charm of St. Patrick’s Cathedral added an ethereal touch to the ceremony. The soaring spires and intricate architecture created a romantic setting, reminding everyone present that they were part of something truly extraordinary.
Nature’s Embrace: The 8-Foot Floral Arch
Lastly, A focal point of the celebration was an impressive 8-foot floral arch, a masterpiece of nature’s beauty. The floral cascade added a touch of whimsy to the urban landscape, creating an enchanting atmosphere that perfectly complemented the grandeur of the cathedral.
Summary
In summary, in the city that never sleeps, this popular NYC rooftop wedding venue is a testament to the enduring power of love. Each detail form this day, from the iconic backdrop to the personalized touches, contributed to an unforgettable moments created. Cheers to the couple, to love, and to the magic of saying ‘I Do’ with St. Patrick’s Cathedral and an impressive floral arch at 620 Loft & Garden.
